Wet hair is more fragile—dry and detangle slowly
If colored hair is already dry, rubbing and forceful pulling can worsen frizz and tangles.

Blot instead of rubbing
Wrap the hair in a soft towel and press gently to absorb water. Do not twist it tightly or rub back and forth.

Detangle from the ends
Use fingers or a wide-tooth comb on the ends first, then work upward. Brushing from the crown concentrates resistance on the same strands.

Pause when you meet a knot
Do not pull harder. Divide the hair into smaller sections, add suitable slip if needed and release the knot gradually.
