Hotter airflow does not always dry hair better
High heat and very close distance increase moisture loss, so heat control matters after coloring.

Remove excess water first
Long high-heat drying on dripping hair is slow and can overheat small areas. Blot first, then dry from scalp toward the ends in sections.

Keep the dryer moving
Use low or medium heat and keep the nozzle moving. If the hair or scalp feels hot, adjust the temperature or distance.

Reduce repeated high-heat styling
Straighteners, curling irons and hot airflow add up. Lower the temperature and frequency, and never apply high-heat tools directly to wet hair.
