Section before timing begins
Detangle the hair, divide it clearly for your density and make sure mirrors show the back, behind the ears and the hairline before mixing and application.

Work with thinner sections
A thick section may look coated on the surface while the inner strands remain uncovered. Check roots and gray-heavy areas along each parting as you go.
