Check the parting, temples and hairline in natural light. Separating gray new growth from previously colored hair helps avoid unnecessary overlap.

Follow the product's touch-up sequence
Requirements for touch-ups and full-head color may differ. Do not turn a root procedure into a full-head application or drag leftover product through the ends.

Pause if the hair or scalp is not in good condition
If hair is very dry or breaking, or the scalp remains uncomfortable, postpone coloring and assess the cause. There is no single interval suitable for everyone.
