- An old front-opening top, towel or cape, plus protection for the work surface and floor.
- Tissues, mirrors and non-metal sectioning tools.

Set aside uninterrupted time
Reading, sectioning, applying, timing and rinsing all need continuous attention. Avoid coloring just before leaving home or while you expect frequent interruptions.
